Hello, dear listener. The name is Ma'at. You may have found me through my Instagram, Mott's World, through my Substack Mott's World, once again, where you may have read my book, The Work of Love. I started writing this book in 2023 after going through a series of turbulent and delightful initiations. And I really wanted to write a book that would bring together my thesis of God, my thesis of life, my thesis of change, and my thesis of magic. I think this is the work of every great magician to dare to define how reality works and how we can be active, magical participants in this beautiful game, play, theater of creation. And so I'm here to read you my book, The Work of Love. I am really excited for you to receive it. And I wanted to give you a little preamble before you dive right in, just to prepare you for the journey ahead. So think of me right now as your steward or stewardess in the plane before we take off for landing. Buckle up, put your seatbelts on. Let's do some safe porting. Number one, I would say that reading this book can be an incredibly magical and psychedelic experience. It is the living work of a magician. It is my living word. And I really intend for you to receive it as such. And with that being said, you might be neurodivergent like me and you love to rabbit hole, and you're just gonna like eat it up at one time or in a single sitting. That's totally fine. However, I do recommend taking time, like letting yourself pace yourself through the work. Take moments to pause, pause in the middle of an episode. Really sit with, like, whoa, where is that meeting me? Where is that landing for me? Take notes of the things that are really meaningful for you. Uh, and feel free to DM me on Instagram or send me an email at Mott'sworld777 at gmail.com to let me know how the work is landing for you, or comment on the chapter that you really enjoyed on Substack. Let me know how it's landing for you. I love to know how it's landing for people, where you feel objection, where you feel excitement, where you feel turn on, where you feel disgust. Every single response that you have to this work is so welcome. And I really mean that because every single response you have to this work is telling you something about you, your spirit, your psyche, your medicine, what works for you, what doesn't. I always want you to practice discernment, dear magician. It is one of our most powerful tools. And so I don't need you to read this text in a dogmatic way where you have to agree with everything that I'm saying. You don't. Actually, what would be a successful read or listen of this text is for it to activate your own discerning powers that let you know that feels good for me, that doesn't feel good for me, this is something I'm taking forward, this is something I'm leaving, this is a place where I think Mott could have gone further, could have done more. Um, and this is a place where I want to take their work further and do more. That's what we do in magical lineage. We build upon the work of each other. Like we never arrive at an ending place. We are always incarnating into lineage so that we can grow lineage, evolve lineage, expand lineage, build on lineage, use lineage as the bricks from which we construct our own house that will eventually decompose and become the soil upon which our descendants construct theirs. And so I think those are really the most important things that I want to say. You know, keep checking in with your body, uh, keep breathing, keep noticing the triggers, keep taking notes, journal, pause after a chapter, journal about it, meditate on it, bring it into your practice. Uh I invite you into this reflective practice with me by sharing your feedback with me about where the work is landing for you. Uh and without much further ado, dear listener, thank you for being here. It is really an honor, and I am delighted to present to you The Work of Love by Mott.
